Wisteria Flower Tunnel is located at the Kawachi Fuji Gardens in Kitakyushu, Japan. This enchanting tunnel exploding with colour is known as Wisteria Tunnel where the flowering Japanese wisteria (known as fuji in Japan) hang overhead and the different coloured rows create a spectacular place to walk through and that make you feel like you are walking above the clouds.

 One large wisteria tree is 100 years old and its branches are supported to create a huge umbrella of blue wisteria flowers. There is also a long tunnel of white wisteria flowers, while a tunnel of yellow kingusari needs a few more years to become an actual tunnel. Yae-fuji, a variety with more than the usual number of petals, can also be viewed.

How to get there
The gardens are located about a 4-hour drive away from Tokyo. To get to the garden from JR Yahata station, take Nishitetsu bus 56 and get off at Kawachi Elementary School. Then, it is a 10-15 min walk to the garden. The one way ride takes at least 70 minutes and 4000 yen by Shinkansen or about two hours and 2000 yen by regular trains.
